Memberships Matter to EAAA
At Elder Abuse Action Australia (EAAA) we are committed to empowering older people to live full lives free from abuse and mistreatment. We exist to relieve and prevent distress and suffering experienced by older people impacted by elder abuse. Our work supports individuals and communities by providing resources and education, advocating for systemic change, and fostering a collective voice.
Membership is an important feature of EAAA, as it builds, strengthens and unites a national movement dedicated to protecting older Australians from harm and advocating for their rights We seek to ensure that everyone has access to the support, justice and dignity they deserve.
Without a broad-based and substantial membership community, EAAA’s ability to advocate, raise awareness and influence government action is diminished. Your membership helps us create meaningful change and provide direct support for initiatives that relieve the suffering of older people experiencing abuse.
Lend Your Voice
EAAA membership is open to individuals and organisations who want to contribute to reducing the distress and harm caused by elder abuse. Whether you have a personal connection to elder abuse, work in the sector or support the rights of older people, your membership strengthens our ability to provide help and relief where it’s needed most.
By joining EAAA, you become part of a community that is actively working to alleviate the disadvantage, neglect and vulnerability that can be experienced by older people. You are demonstrating you support human rights for older people, recognise the imperative to address ageism, equity and access to services. You are providing a tangible demonstration that you believe in the capacity of older people to live with dignity, make their own decisions and be free from abuse.
Every person has a voice and some do not have the opportunity to use theirs. It is up to the strong to defend those who cannot defend themselves, Speak up! Lend your voice.
