Lunch & Learn: COTA Tasmania share insights on their LGBTIQ+ project

We’re excited to have re-launched our Lunch & Learn webinars in December. These webinars have been very popular and successful, allowing our members to showcase their work or a particular topic of interest.

In this session Julie Andersson from COTA Tasmania shared insights from COTA's project Raising Tasmanian LGBTIQ+ People’s Awareness of Elder Abuse.

  • co-design elder abuse awareness messages tailored to the community
  • test and refine these messages and how they’re delivered to ensure the greatest impact
  • engage with Lifelong Respect Community of Practice (CoP) referral partners about integrating these messages into existing resources or creating new community-specific materials.

With over 35 years of experience spanning community organisations, government roles and international work in Sweden, Julie has a wealth of experience in ageing and inclusion. Holding a Master of Public Sector Management, she specialises in community development, advocacy and co-design, always championing the voices of lived experience.
