National Plan Consultation - First Nations Focus Groups

Elder Abuse Action Australia (EAAA) is a national voice for action to end the abuse of older people and to raise awareness of the often-hidden issue of discrimination. We have been engaged by the Commonwealth Attorney General’s Department to lead an important national research and consultation project to inform the development of the 2^nd National Plan to Respond to the Abuse of Older Australians.

Focus groups are being held around Australia and we’re committed to ensuring that we hear from a diverse range of voices including those of First Nations people. First Nations Focus Group sessions are being held in Adelaide SA.

EAAA invites your organisation to nominate a senior representative to participate in one of the following sessions:

• First Nations Focus Group 1: Wednesday 6 September from 2:00pm to 5:00pm
• First Nations Focus Group 2: Thursday 7 September from 10:00am to 1:00pm

About the Sessions

Facilitator: Dr Elizabeth McEntyre

Designed to accommodate 35 in-person participants per Focus Group, sessions will run for three hours including a break with light refreshments provided.

Travel Assistance

Assistance is available to eligible not-for-profit organisations that are unable to cover the travel and accommodation cost of their participation. To access travel assistance, register before Friday 25^th August 23 using the Registration and Travel Assistance Application option.
